is it schizophrenia or dissociative identity disorder – split personality disorder?
symptoms person is having:
loss of memory
repressed thoughts without any remembering
“something” telling person to kill or rape
getting abused while child
losing parent at very early age from 6 – 8
depression
likes control
likes causing pain to self and others….sexually
cant cry easily
doesnt show very many emotions
represses anger (very very little)
avoids any anger
very plain monotone voice
suicide attempts
etc.
what does this sound like more to you split personality or schizophrenia…..i dunno…i think it may be both…but im curious for comments on people who might know more…
It is neither. This person has PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) from sexual abuse, and it was compounded by the loss of a parent. this person needs therapy, and with serious effort, the symptoms will be reduced dramatically, and the person will suffer much less. I was sexually abused over many years and by more than one person, and have recovered about 90%, but unfortunately did get bipolar disorder, and so now I have that instead. But I don’t have a lot of “issues” like you are talking about above, and I did used to.
