Teaching Children Number

How difficult is it to be accepted for an interview at the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching Program)?
I consider myself to be well trained, with a strong command of English (both reading and writing) and skills / desire to teach English children. I am also very interested in Japanese culture and speak fluent Japanese. I understand that they receive a large number of applications, but how difficult it is to be truly granted an interview?
You're the kind of person they are looking for, so I think your chances of getting the interview is good. I would say to be precise when you say you are interested in Japanese culture. Everyone interview they will say they are interested in Japanese culture. Then they will wonder what aspect of Japanese culture that interests them: "I anime and sushi, is the wrong answer. "Junichiro Tanizaki love of literature" is a better answer.
