Why should you teach your children Manners?

I write a persuasive speech on why you should teach your child the manners. I would add a little and stastics opinions. I am also trying to understand all the format oiut for my speech. So here is my question for any of you answer: "What are your views on why you should teach your child manners?

Why teach a child manners? because my children are a reflection of me. Children are not born knowing manners, they are educated by their parents. if the child has no manners, then automatically that parents look bad.
